Online Banking Upgrade FAQ
Personal Banking 

We’re upgrading our internet banking to a new platform called Configure Digital, to provide a faster, more secure, and modern online banking experience. To ensure a smooth transition, please review the following information and take necessary action on items below.

Q: When is the upgrade?
The upgrade will go live on Wednesday September 23, 2026.

Q: Will I need to re-enroll?
Most users will transfer automatically. Some situations, such as linked profiles or certain bill pay setups, may require re-enrollment (see Bill Pay section).
Your current login credentials will remain the same. However, you will be prompted to manually type in your username and password at first login. Biometrics or fingerprints will not allow you to log in for the first time post upgrade. If you have cannot remember your password, click the "Forgot Password" button and follow the prompts. Q: Will internet banking be unavailable during the upgrade?
✅ Yes. All internet banking access will be temporarily unavailable from Monday September 21st at 5:00 pm MT until Wednesday September 23rd at 8:00 am MT. (39 hours)

Q: Will I be able to initiate internet banking transactions during this time?
No, your internet banking will be placed on ‘read only’ mode. Balances will remain the same throughout these 39 hours. The ability to mobile deposit, transfer between accounts, initiate ACH files and make loan payments will be unavailable through internet banking.

Q: Will my debit card still work during this time?
✅ Yes. You can continue to transact with your debit card(s) but the balance within internet banking will NOT update accordingly.

Transfers


Q: Will my scheduled transfers carry over?
✅ Yes. Any recurring or scheduled transfers with a set future date will move to Configure Digital.

Alerts & Preferences

Q: Will my alerts carry over?
✅ Yes. However, some alerts may need to be re-set after the upgrade because Configure Digital offers expanded alert options.

👉 User Action:
We recommend noting your current alert settings before the upgrade and review after the upgrade, making any necessary changes.

Bill Pay

Q: Will my payees transfer?
✅ Yes.

Q: Will my scheduled payments transfer?
✅ Yes.

Q: Will the history of my payments transfer?
✅ Yes.

👉 User Action:
  • Before the upgrade retain your scheduled payments and history of payments.
  • After the upgrade verify all payees and scheduled payments carried over correctly.

Quicken & Quickbooks


Important Notice: If you use QuickBooks or Quicken, this change will require updates to your software to maintain uninterrupted access.
Dakota Western Bank is migrating to a new online and mobile banking system. This upgrade will require that you make changes to your QuickBooks or Quicken software, so please take action to ensure a smooth transition.
Conversion instructions are available below.

The conversion instructions reference two important Action Dates. Please use the dates provided below:

📅 1st Action Date: September 20, 2026, A data file backup and final transaction download should be completed by this date. Please ensure the final download is done before this date, as transaction history may not be available after the upgrade.

📅 2nd Action Date: September 21, 2026  this is the action date for the remaining steps in the conversion instructions. You will complete the deactivate/reactivate process of your online banking connection to ensure your current Quicken or QuickBooks accounts are properly set up with the new connection.

🔧 Conversion Instructions-⚠️ Please Note: Intuit aggregation services may be interrupted for up to 5 business days. Users are encouraged to download a QFX/QBO file during this outage. The following services may not work during the outage:
  • Quicken Win/Mac Express Web Connect
  • QuickBooks Online Express Web Connect
After completing the migration instructions, please carefully review your downloaded transactions to ensure no transactions were duplicated or missed in your register.
